Morals in Ancient Hawaii
The people of ancient Hawaii had a different set of morals than most of the world. In their society, it wasn't taboo for siblings to marry one another. In fact, that is what the ali'i did to keep their bloodlines pure from the commoners. The ancient Hawaiians did not operate with the same social norms as the missionaries did. It was normal for women to walk around without tops and men wore, often times, merely a loin cloth. The Hawaiian peoples main values were based on loving the land. Everything the Hawaiian people did, they did it with love and respect for the land. The land to them was the bearer of their lives, and it brought forth that which we need to survive. They worked hard to preserve the land and to not take it for granted.
